IDF forces and police are conducting extensive searches in the Golan Heights for a soldier who went missing yesterday after leaving his unit.

The soldier left his unit during regular operational activity. Authorities are focusing their searches in the area of Katzrin where he was last seen.

The family has asked the media to not publish any more details about the incident in order to protect their privacy.
