Security forces fire at Damascus protest, 3 hurt

AMMAN - Syrian security forces wounded three mourners on Thursday when they fired live ammunition at a funeral for a protester in a Damascus neighborhood, opposition activists said.

The funeral, which turned into a demonstration against President Bashar Assad, was taking place in the district of Mezze, home to embassies and several secret police installations, when it came under fire, they said.
