As part of celebrations to mark 55 years of his career, British singer Sir Cliff Richard will perform a concert in Israel in July, NYK Productions announced Sunday.

The pop singer, actor and musician, who has sold over 260 million albums and accumulated numerous gold and platinum awards, will perform at the Nokia Stadium in Tel Aviv on July 11.

Richard first performed in Israel in 1963 at the Tel Aviv Cinema and then six years later in 1969 he recorded a religious feature film shot entirely on location in Israel called His Land. The legendary singer last performed in Israel in 1988 as part of celebrations to mark 40 years since the creation of the state.
