Known criminal Shalom Domrani was sentenced to 10 months in prison Wednesday, following a plea bargain filed to the prosecution.
Domrani, well known to policemen in southern Israel, attacked notorious hitman Avner Harrari at a Tel Aviv car service center, and a fistfight ensued. Police issued a warrant for Domrani's arrest and he was successfully captured earlier in September.
Judge Zvi Gurfinkel approved the plea bargain with a heavy heart: "It is the easiest settlement imaginable," he said.
Although Gurfinkel wasn't satisfied with the verdict, the police breathed a sigh of relief, reported Israel Radio.
