The State Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday requested a police investigation into alleged threats against National Union MK Ya'akov Katz posted on Facebook.

The threat, which was posted onto a private Facebook page, asked, "Who's coming to put a bullet in the head of Katzale-Mengale?" A later post by the same Facebook user suggested that the same be done to Katz what "he proposes to do to the Beduins, as they say 'an eye for an eye,'" adding that he believes in the biblical quote's literal implementation.

Last month, Katz said that only by removing the Israeli Beduins from the southern border region, building a temporary prison camp and "putting a bullet in the head of those leading convoys [of those infiltrating the southern border]," that the smuggling of Africans into Israel can be stopped. He added, "We'll kill three or four and there won't be any more convoys."
