The Supreme Court decided on Thursday to return a seven-year-old girl to the custody of her rehabilitated drug addict mother.

The state appealed a similar decision by the Tel Aviv District Court earlier this year, arguing that the mother was unfit and that there was a family waiting to adopt the girl, but an expanded Supreme Court panel decided to declare the girl ineligible for adoption and handed her over to her biological mother.
