Tenders will be issued for 436 new homes in the Jewish east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo, Army Radio reported Tuesday. The municipality also wants to advance plans for 1,000 new units there.

This is the same project that created a crisis with the US in 2010, when initial plans for housing in that neighborhood was announced during a visit by US Vice President Joe Biden.
