A preliminary investigation into Saturday morning's terror incident, in which a suspect lightly injured a soldier in an attempted stabbing, revealed that the perpetrator had quarreled with his father earlier that morning and decided to launch an attack.

In a suspected premeditated attack, the perpetrator arrived at Beit Horon checkpoint and requested a drink of water from a soldier. When the soldier returned with a bottle of water, the terrorist began stabbing the victim with a knife.
