The IDF discovered a spent shell of a mortar fired from Syria in an open area in the southern Golan Heights on Thursday.

No injuries or damage were reported. An IDF spokesperson said that the shell was apparently a result of errant fire from the fighting in Syria.

Earlier on Thursday two mortar shells landed in the Golan. Those mortars also caused no damage or injuries and were also instances of errant Syrian fire, the IDF said.
