Israeli police arrest 3 for allegedly using social media to lure minors

Israel Police arrested three men on Thursday on suspicion of soliciting minors over social media. 
The three suspects, from Tel Aviv, Modiin and Taibe, were arrested in separate incidents after they allegedly had correspondence of a sexual nature with an undercover police women posing as a 13-year-old girl.
“The suspects also operated beyond the virtual space and worked to hold a real meeting in order to have sexual contact with the policewoman,” the Lachish District police said in a statement
According to police, the suspects also suggested payment for sexually explicit photos and offered sex.
The suspects will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where police are seeking to extend their remands.
“It is important to reiterate to the youth and children that we should avoid talking to strangers on the Internet and sending personal materials throughout the Internet,” police said.
