Tourism Minister Uzi Landau hosts the Cardinal of Paris André Armand the Twenty-third

Tourism Minister Uzi Landau hosted the Cardinal of Paris André Armand the Twenty-third in Jerusalem on Sunday. Armand is currently on a visit to Israel designed to boost interfaith ties and promote French Christian pilgrimage.

The Cardinal led prayers in churches throughout Israel, visited the Old City of Jerusalem, Qumran, Masada, the Ramon Crater, and Bethlehem among other stops.

Landau said it was of great importance to maintain warm relations between Christian and Jewish communities, and invited members of the Christian community in France to visit Israel, “to enjoy the beauty and the historical and religious treasures that this land has to offer, while strengthening inter-faith ties."
