ANKARA - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday he will meet his US counterpart Donald Trump in Washington on May 16-17, in their first meeting since Trump took office in January.

Erdogan also said challenging the results of a referendum that granted him sweeping powers was beyond the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights, after Turkey's main opposition vowed to take every possible legal action against what it said were irregularities.
