Turkey's top court refuses to lower 10 pct electoral threshold

ANKARA - Turkey's constitutional court on Tuesday refused to rule on a proposal to lower the 10 percent threshold for political parties to enter parliament, broadcaster NTV reported.
The decision, which means the electoral law will remain unchanged, is a blow to the country's Kurdish HDP party, whose support hovers around that threshold, in the run-up to parliamentary elections due in June.
