Two car bombs kill at least 8 in southern Iraq

BAGHDAD - Two car bombs in the center of the southern Iraqi city of Samawa on Sunday killed at least eight people and wounded about 16 others, two police source said.
The first blast was near the provincial council building and the second one about 60 meters (yards) away at a bus station, a police colonel told Reuters. He said the death toll was expected to rise due to the gravity of some injuries.
Unverified online photographs showed several bodies on the ground, including several children. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
