ANKARA - Two members of the Turkish security forces were killed by a homemade mine on Tuesday in the south-eastern province of Sirnak, Dogan news agency reported.

The deaths come amidst a surge of attacks against the military by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and air-strikes carried out by the Turkish air force on PKK targets in northern Iraq.
