The UN peacekeeping force that monitors the border between Israel and Lebanon said it had begun investigating the incident in which four IDF soldiers were injured by an explosion in the premise.

In a statement, the UNIFIL said the Lebanese Army had informed them that the IDF troops had crossed into Lebanese territory where the explosion ensued. According to the UN, the peacekeeping force immediately launched a probe investigating whether a violation occurred of Security Council resolution 1701, which calls for Israel and Lebanon to respect the UN-designated "blue line" between the two countries.
