The United States is 'pleased' that Britain's parliament voted to approve air strikes against Islamic State insurgents in Iraq, a White House spokesman on Friday. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the British vote showed 'strong support' for a growing coalition of European allies that have joined the US-led military action. Britain's parliament voted 524-43 on Friday to join the military campaign.
