A woman allegedly attempted to drown herself and her two young children at a Haifa beach on Tuesday.

Haifa Municipality security guards on a routine patrol of the area saw the woman entering the sea fully clothed with her children. When she failed to heed their calls to stop, they followed her into the water, pulling the woman and her children on to the beach.

The woman and her children were taken to the Haifa police station. Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident.
