A woman in Jerusalem died of stab wounds that her partner inflicted on her early Friday morning. Police suspect that the woman was stabbed after she informed the suspect that she wanted to end their relationship, Israel Radio reported.

After stabbing his partner the man attempted to commit suicide by drinking acid and was in critical condition on Friday.

The stabbing took place on Ben Zvi Boulevard in the capital according to the report.

The suspect was found with the murder weapon near the body of the deceased, the radio said.
