1. Israeli American Council
Over $2 million was raised during the annual Israeli American Council (IAC) fundraising event that was held recently in the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Israeli mindreading mentalist Lior Suchard performed for the guests, including Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Israel consul general in Los Angeles Sam Grundwerg, IAC National Chairman Adam Milstein, and IAC CEO Shoham Nicolet.
2. New drama series
At the Tel Aviv Port, Yes held an event to celebrate the launching of its new drama series, His Honor. Created by Roni Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach, the series tells the story of a Beersheba Magistrate’s Court judge whose teenaged son was involved in a hit-and-run car accident.
There to watch the first two episodes were Yes CEO Ron Ayalon; Ram Landes, founder and CEO at Koda Communications, which produced the series, and his wife Esther Barak-Landes; Meital Danino, a criminal lawyer who offered legal counsel to the series’ creators, and her husband Gil Shwed; Ronny Douek, Lilac Sigan, Ligad Rotlevy, Tami Hotovely and Shai Agassi.
3. KRB Three prominent lawyers – Noga Rubinstein, Roey Balchar, and Amit Krispin – who up until two months ago worked at giant law firm Goldfarb-Zeligman, decided to spread their wings and open their own office: Krispin, Rubinstein, Balchar – KRB. Attending their grand opening celebrations were Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, and Adv. Eli Zohar, who heads the Goldfarb-Zeligman office.
4. TA Museum of Art The Young Friends of Tel Aviv Museum of Art held a joint event with the Young Friends of Gesher Theater in which they were treated to a performance that was staged in the hall of the museum. The show, which was created by Michael Keremenko of the Gesher Theater and titled, “Andy Warhol, Pop and Art,” focused on the story of one of the 20th century’s most important artists. Attending were Jason and Elital Arison, and Shira Sagol and her husband Shachar Elimelech.
5. Club Hotel
Batsheva and Moshe Bublil, the owners of Club Hotel in Eilat, hosted a special entertainment event in their hotel last weekend, which included gourmet meals prepared by chef Chaim Cohen and Italian chef Dario Cecchini, the legendary butcher from Tuscany. Enjoying the Las Vegas style festivities in Eilat were Eli Papouchado; Udi Angel, president of Variety Israel; Ory Slonim, chairman of Variety Israel, and his wife Tami, who thanked the hotel chain for supporting Variety families and children for over twenty years; Michal and David Forer; and Lizika and Ami Sagi.
