IBM to open Petah Tikva call center

IBM Israel announced Wednesday that it will be soon be opening a new service center at a cost of $1m.

IBM Israel announced Wednesday that it will be soon be opening a new service center at a cost of $1 million. The center will be located in IBM's Petah Tikva headquarters and will be able to handle some 50,000 calls a month, IBM said. It will focus on handling calls from both its commercial and individual software customers. The announcement comes one week after IBM announced its purchase of Tel Aviv-based data-storage start-up XIV for an estimated $350m.
