The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened trade on Sunday on a positive note.
The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 3.15 percent, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 3.31% and the Tel Tech index some 4.27%.
The shorter trading day will close at 14:45, due to the Passover holiday.
The hikes in the TASE follow on rises in the New York Stock Exchange, which ended the trading week on Thursday because of Easter. Asian markets also rose over the weekend.
