Settler shoots dead Palestinian rock thrower

A settler shot dead a Palestinian rock thrower after his vehicle was pelted with stones on Tuesday evening. Police said Amos Merav, a resident of the Samaria settlement of Emmanuele, was being interrogated but was not officially under arrest as of Tuesday night. "We will await the outcome of the interrogation before deciding on the next step," a Judea and Samaria Spokesman said. "He was driving on Route 55 with his 14-year-old girl in the car," Kranei Shomron Spokesman Arik Zorger told The Jerusalem Post. "The reality here is unbearable," Zorger said. "Despite its efforts which we appreciate, the army has not provided us with security. There are two incidents involving rocks or molotov cocktails thrown at Israeli vehicles here a day," he added.
