An IDF D9 bulldozer was lightly damaged on Tuesday by an explosive device
planted along the Gaza border.
The vehicle was on a mission to seek out
and destroy border bombs, and it remains unclear whether the explosion occurred
because the D9 found an old device, or whether this was a deliberate attack on
the bulldozer, a security source said.
No one was wounded in the blast,
and the bulldozer’s operators continued with their mission afterward.
Palestinian Ma’an news agency claimed that nine D9 bulldozers had entered 200
meters into Gaza to clear shrubbery.
