According to Army Radio, military police investigating the incident believe that the infiltrators received assistance from within the base, and are searching the area for the suspects.

In the South, terrorists detonated a large explosive device targeting an IDF operation along the Gaza security fence Friday. No soldiers were injured in the attack, but light damage was caused to an IDF vehicle and to the fence itself, Israel Radio reported.

IDF tanks fired toward the suspected positions of the terrorists.
