Palestinian protesters on Friday clashed with IDF soldiers in various locations in the West Bank, marking the fourth straight day of upheaval following the deaths of two Palestinian youths during clashes and a detainee earlier in the week.

Army Radio reported stone throwing incidents in the village of Kalkilya, Nablus, and in Sinjil in Ramallah. In Hebron, Palestinian protesters threw stones at a military post. IDF troops used teargas and rubber bullets to disperse protesters.

One soldier was reported to be lightly injured by a stone thrown at him by Palestinian protesters.

Police arrested three youths for hurling stones at security forces in Isawiya, Jerusalem after Muslim prayers. Several dozen demonstrators gathered in the Issawiya neighborhood of east Jerusalem. Security forces responded using riot dispersal methods, police said. Around a dozen suffered minor injuries.

In Nabi Saleh, west of Ramallah, the site of weekly protests against settlement activity, some 70 protestors were throwing stones at security forces.

Demonstrations in the West Bank have been ongoing in the past week following the death of Palestinian detainee Maissara Abu Hamdiyeh, 63, who died of esophageal cancer in Soroka University Medical Center last Tuesday.

Two Palestinian teens were killed in clashes with the IDF near Tulkarm in the West Bank Wednesday night, sparking further riots.

In spite of recent tensions, the IDF does not expect the protests will escalate, Army Radio reported.

Palestinians are marching throughout the West Bank on Friday for an annual demonstration against the treatment of Palestinian children by the Israel Defense Forces, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.

Palestinian Children’s Day is commemorated on the 5th of April each year.
