This is your chance to voice your opinion. We've chosen a controversial / interesting entry that appeared on our site (talkback, blog, etc...) and we want to know what you have to say about it. TODAY'S HOT POTATO: Taken from article: Building Bridges: Time is not on our side Talkback #: 3, 7 Talkbacker: Owen, UK vs. Yonatan, Israel Text: Owen: A good piece. As a Brit with long standing interest in the Isr-Pal conflict I am constantly exasperated by lack of progress in resolving 40+y conflict. It seems to me that Israels' long-time and long-term strategy is essentially to stall any peace agreement indefinitely. Judging by the many of the comments published on this site (eg http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1203847462945&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull) lots of people seem content with the No Peace option. Yonatan: Response to Owen: It seems you don't see a need for the Arabs to make any concession and agree with the UN decision of 60 years ago that Jews, as a recognizable nation without a country, get their country back. The fact that no Arab country ever recognized Israel's existence until this moment is surely the biggest stumbling block. The Palestinians are not a separate nation or people by any definition of the word. Israel's concessions have been to absorb THOUSANDS of rockets aimed at civilian centers... Only the Israelis talk of peace and practice restraint unheard of by any other sovereign nation on this planet. Ask your grandparents how much they liked the V1 bombs in the 1940s and what your (?) country did about a nation that made claim to supremacy in the world by violent means. What do you think? The ball is in your court now. Click here to respond Previous Hot Potatos
