Thirty Taliban fighters have been killed and 17 others wounded in clashes with Afghan and foreign troops in southern Afghanistan, a provincial police chief said Tuesday.
Juma Gul Himat said the clashes that started late Monday in Uruzgan's Dehrawood district were still going.
Himat says the gunmen died Monday and that four policemen had been wounded.
