Spanish media reported that a small bomb exploded on Wednesday night at the back of a nightclub in the village of Sant Esteban in the Basque region, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the city of Pamplona.
Police were informed of the bomb beforehand and cleared the area; there were no injuries, Spanish television stations reported.
The bomb exploded at 10 p.m. in the village center.
