The EU presidency said Monday it believes "many" of the 27 EU nations will recognize Kosovo as an independent state. "I understand that many [EU] member states will recognize" Kosovo, said Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitri Rupel, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency.
