Indian police: Taj Mahal hotel operation complete

The siege at the Taj Mahal hotel is over, according to Indian police, bringing an end to three days of terror in Mumbai in which more than 150 people were killed. Mumbai Police Chief Hasan Ghafoor told The Associated Press that "The Taj operation is over. The last two terrorists holed up there have been killed." This ends one of the most devastating attacks to hit India. The violence started Wednesday when assailants attacked 10 sites across Mumbai, India's financial capital. Authorities were working to find out who was behind the attacks, claimed by a previously unknown group calling itself the Deccan Mujahideen. Fifteen foreigners were amongst the dead.
