US President Donald Trump told reporters as he left the White House on Wednesday that he was not worried about Iran-backed attacks on US soil.

Trump also said that all of Iran's mine-laying ships were destroyed along with the regime's navy, "We took out just about all of their mine ships in one night... just about all of their navy is gone."

In addition to these, the US President urged oil companies to use the Strait of Hormuz, which was reportedly closed by Iran with submarine mines.

The reported closure prompted the International Energy Agency, along with most world powers, to release a record amount of oil reserves to address the potential supply chain crisis and the spike in oil prices it could trigger.

The IEA approved the release of approximately 400 million barrels of oil, which more than doubles the amount released back when the war between Ukraine and Russia started in 2022.

US military might, NATO, and Lebanon

Trump also mentioned his current G7 virtual meeting, saying that he "just spoke with the leaders of various countries, and they said they've never seen anything like it. I built it during my first term, and I didn't realize I was going to use it this much, but we have the greatest military in the world by far, nobody close."

The US President also commented on the Iran operation, saying that the regime is paying for "47 years' worth of damage to the world," and that the US "hit them harder than virtually any country in history has been hit, and we're not finished yet."

In a separate comment, Trump referred to Spain's refusal to let the US military use their bases for the Operation Epic Fury, saying, "I think they've been very bad, not good at all... they've been very bad to NATO. They get protected, they don't want to pay their fair share...the people of Spain are fantastic. The leadership is not so good."

Finally, he said that Lebanon has great people but a problem with Hezbollah: "We love Lebanon. We love the people of Lebanon... Hezbollah has been a disaster for many years."

This is a developing story.
