Local Indian authorities embarked on a rescue mission on Thursday night to track down an Israeli hiker who went missing earlier in the day.
The 20-year-old resident of southern Israel was last seen in the northern Indian town of Manali riding a motorcycle which was later found abandoned by his companions. His personal belongings were also found at the scene.
