An Israeli citizen working for a Russian diamond company was found dead in Luanda, capital of Angola, police said Saturday.
The Israeli, who entered the country on his Russian passport, apparently fell victim to an armed robbery as he walked out of his hotel on Saturday night holding a bag.
Police said that the Israeli seemingly tried to fight off the robbers and was shot dead in the ensuing scuffle.
The Foreign Ministry informed the man's next of kin of his death and Israeli representatives in Angola began procedures in order to transfer the body to Israel.
