STOCKHOLM — Swedish police arrested a 21-year-old man for an attempted arson attack  on Saturday, against the home of an artist who angered Muslims with a drawing of the Prophet Muhammad.

Police spokesman Joakim Ekstrand, said the man was arrested at his home on suspicion of attempted arson.

Police discovered bottles filled with gasoline and minor fire damage at artist Lars Vilks' home in Nyhamnslage, southern Sweden, on Saturday.

The artist has faced several threats over his drawing and US investigators say he was the target of the alleged "Jihad Jane" murder plot.

Ekstrand that evidence at Vilks' house led police to the suspect, but wouldn't give more details.
