Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas says US President-elect Barack Obama is serious about the Middle East peace process. Abbas says he met with Obama three months ago and concluded he is "serious about the Middle East issues and he is serious about solving them." Abbas, who is in Hungary on Wednesday on an official visit, says Palestinians hope Obama will make the Middle East peace process a priority after his inauguration.
