Pakistan: Suicide bomber kills soldier on border

A suicide bomber struck a Pakistan army convoy in a troubled part of the country's northwest on Saturday, killing at least one soldier and wounding seven others, police said. The attack happened on a narrow road near Tank, a town about 50 kilometers (60 miles) west of Dera Ismail Khan, a city in the North West Frontier Province. Sanaullah Khan, a police chief in the area, said that security forces had cordoned off the area, and that the dead and injured were being taken to a hospital.
