Pakistan army discovers van packed with explosives

The Pakistani army said it has discovered a van packed with almost 900 pounds of explosives in the country's northwest. It said militants planned to use the vehicle in a suicide bombing. The army media center said the van was discovered during a raid Sunday on a house in the Khyber tribal region near the Afghan border. Six suspected militants were arrested in the raid. The army said it found suicide jackets, rockets, assault rifles and improvised bombs in the house.
