A rocket hit a military base in northwestern Pakistan on Thursday, damaging a soldiers' barracks but injuring no one, an intelligence official said.
A second rocket landed in hills near the base in Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal area, the official said.
No one claimed responsibility immediately for the attack and the official said authorities are investigating. He did not name any person or group as suspects.
