Russia: World must be firm on Iran, N. Korea

The world must be firm but "very cautious" when dealing with the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs, Russian news agencies quoted Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as saying Saturday during an Asia-Pacific summit in Vietnam. "The international community is obligated to approach the issues of the Korean peninsula and the Iranian nuclear program firmly but very cautiously," ITAR-Tass quoted Lavrov as saying in Russia's latest warning that overly harsh actions against Teheran or Pyongyang could undermine efforts to resolve the disputes.
