Three explosions rock Nepal's capital; no casualties reported

Three near-simultaneous bomb explosions rocked Nepal's capital Friday in what officials believe was an attempt to disrupt a crucial election next week, police said. No casualties were reported from the loud blasts along main streets in Katmandu, said police Inspector Sharad Thapa. Police were still investigating the explosions, Thapa said. It was not immediately clear what the blasts targeted. He said police suspect the bombings were carried out by groups hoping to disrupt the April 10 election for a Constituent Assembly, which will rewrite the constitution and decide on Nepal's future political system.
