A US Air Force airman died of a non-combat-related injury Monday in the Persian Gulf region, the Air Force reported, without releasing details on the cause of death.
The airman was assigned to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, the Air Force said in a statement. The 379th is based at al-Udeid Airbase in the US-allied state of Qatar, where the death occurred.
The airman's name was withheld pending notification of family.
