'US attack on Iran nuke sites would lead to war'

The US contingency plans to attack Iranian nuclear sites would develop to a large-scale war and would not remain a limited, surgical operation, Army Radio quoted a former CIA agent saying on Friday night. The former agent, who helped prepare the plans, said that contingency plans to attack Iranian nuclear sites existed, and that if undertaken, they would throw the Middle East into years of instability. In the past, the Bush administration has ruled out a military operation if diplomatic avenues were to prove unyielding.
