US military says soldier killed by roadside bomb north of Baghdad

The US military says a roadside bomb has killed a US soldier just north of Baghdad. A statement says the Multi-National Division - Baghdad soldier's vehicle was struck at about 1:45 p.m. during a combat patrol. Friday's attack raises to at least 4,037 members of the US military who have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003. That's according to an Associated Press count.
