Iran reiterated on Thursday that it would step up efforts to promote its nuclear program if more sanctions were imposed on Teheran, Israel Radio reported. In an interview with Newsweek magazine, top Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani said that no benefit had come from the prior two UN decisions to impose sanctions. According to Larijani, "the new decision on sanctions will only expedite Iran's efforts."
