Likud MK David Bitan called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday morning to appoint Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked to the next government, in an interview with Channel 12 News.
"Netanyahu asked me to help the New Right Party pass the electoral threshold in the Central Elections Committee," Bitan told the Army Radio.
He also called on Netanyahu to appoint Gideon Sa'ar as a senior cabinet minister and Tourism and Aliyah Minister Yariv Levin to the position of justice minister.
Bitan said that during the process of building the next government, Netanyahu promised the Union of Right-Wing Parties (URP) two portfolios after they received five seats.
Bitan has long been a supporter of Shaked, stating last summer that she is "popular and loved in the Likud Party."
"If she runs, she will come first and defeat Israel Katz, Miri Regev and Gideon Sa'ar," said Bitan. "Unlike other parties, we gladly accept serious people who are willing to contribute both to the Likud and to the state."
