Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid became the first party leader in recent memory to release an election video in English Sunday, aiming to reach out to English-speaking voters.
The video is the latest step taken by Yesh Atid to use new methods to attract English-speaking voters. Lapid became the first Israeli party leader ever to host a Super Bowl party last month.

In the clip, Lapid speaks in English about the accomplishments of his party in the outgoing government.
He then praises those who made aliya by choice from English-speaking countries, calling them “true idealists.”
“You understand the greatness of the modern-day miracle called the State of Israel,” he said. “Help us continue to work for you and restore the Israeli pride which existed when the state was still young.”
US-born Yesh Atid MK Dov Lipman said he did not see releasing a campaign video in English as a gimmick.
“Yesh Atid does not need to use gimmicks in our videos because we can present the voters with what we accomplished in the 19th Knesset and what we were in the process of doing when elections were called,” he said. “That is what Yair Lapid does in this video.”
Lapid called a press conference for Monday morning in which he and other Yesh Atid MKs will present the party’s 273-page, 26-chapter platform. Parts of the platform have already been published in English on the party’s website.
Yesh Atid MKs and Lapid’s wife, Lihi, unveiled the party’s platform on women’s issues Sunday.
