Amir Peretz implores Minister of Justice to prohibit conversion therapy

Labor Party Chairman MK Amir Peretz sent a letter to Minister of Justice Amir Ohana, imploring him to put an end to the pro-conversion therapy talk."In your capacity as Minister of Justice, I appeal to you to promote, under your authority, a memorandum of law prohibiting the conversion of minors, and advertising and marketing of conversion treatments," he wrote.Peretz asked that Ohana prohibit the conversion of minors and forbid the advertising and marketing of conversion treatments.In his letter, Peretz said, "It is time for the state to take action to stop this phenomenon which, according to all professionals, endangers the lives of many young men and women and endangers their lives. We can no longer stand idly by, it's time to put an end to it."
