The fourth annual Oh La La! French Comedy Festival will return to the cinematheques of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa and Sderot and in the Savyon Cultural Center on November 14.

It will feature 21 films, which will include contemporary French movies and classics.

The opening film will be Return of the Hero, the latest film by Laurent Tirard, who has made such hits as Moliere and Up for Love.

Return of the Hero, which stars the Oscar-winning Jean Dujardin (The Artist) and Melanie Laurent (Inglourious Basterds), is a period comedy about an army officer who goes to the front, leaving behind his heartbroken fiancée. Her sister writes letters that are supposedly from the officer, but when he returns unexpectedly, things get complicated.

Screenwriter Grégoire Vigneron will attend the showings of Return of the Hero.

All the films will have subtitles in English and Hebrew.

The festival was organized and produced by Caroline Boneh, the CEO of Eden Films, with the support of the Institut Francais of Tel Aviv and UniFrance Films. The event is part of the French-Israel Cultural Season.
