The Friends of Zion Museum has launched a “Just Say Yes” campaign to coincide with the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly conference in Tel Aviv this week, to promote support of US President Donald Trump among American Jews.
The GA is speaking on the issues that divide world Jewry, one of which is how Diaspora and Israeli Jews differ on Trump. According to the American Jewish Council, 26% of American Jews support Trump while 71% oppose him.
According to Friends of Zion, 83% of Israelis and 94% of Israeli Jews love America and a majority of Israeli Jews approve of the job Trump has done handling US-Israel relations. According to the museum’s founder Mike Evans, the campaign created a vast increase of tourists to the museum and emphasized that Trump has acted to strengthen the US-Israel relationship through steps that the Israeli people largely approve of.
“President Trump has shown his commitment to steadfast US-Israel relations by moving the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem; cutting aid to the Palestinian Authority for incitement of terrorism and paying terrorists’ families; and the recent merger of the US Consulate in Jerusalem to be under the US Embassy in Jerusalem,” Evans said.
FOZ presented its Friend of Zion award to Trump last December. The award, which honors world leaders for their courageous support of the State of Israel and the Jewish people, has also been given to former president George W. Bush, Prince Albert II of Monaco, President Rosen Plevneliev of Bulgaria and President Jimmy Morales of Guatemala.
The Friends of Zion Museum reveals fascinating stories emphasizing the support and heroism of the many friends of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. According to Evans, the museum has become one of the central institutions in Israel influencing the world and strengthening Israel’s relations globally.
